RHONY star Kelly Bensimon has spoken out about why she ended her marriage to Scott Littner over a prenup. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Bensimon revealed she wasn’t willing to take the risk after her ex-fiancé refused to sign a prenup. The TV star shared that it was a huge deal for her, and if her partner can’t be like him, she can’t be that person.
Leitner and Bensimon dated for a while and got engaged in 2023. Everything was fine in the lives of the two until June 29, when the TV personality ended the relationship with the financier.

Speaking to the news portal, Bensimon revealed that she had always decided on a prenup agreement, and when Leitner refused to sign it, it was over for her. “It’s like when you’re a single parent, whether you have thousands in your account or 100 million in your account, women need to protect themselves, and I’m just not going to take any risks,” the reality TV star explained. Bensimon revealed that the topic of transparency around prenups “opened a lot of doors for her.”
The TV star added, “It’s about personal respect and value, which I have. I’m raising two girls who are really important to me. But a prenup is really important because it talks about more than just your own personal value.”
In her interview with Daily Mail, Bensimon also spoke about the public perception of her after her argument with Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel on the show.

Furthermore, Bensimon again spoke about why prenups have become important in today’s world. She revealed, “I’m very honest, and I have a very strong sense of integrity, and I think in today’s time when we’re raising these girls in this turbulent environment, it’s important that women really stand up for themselves and for each other.”
“It’s more than just a pre-nup — so much more than that,” he added.
Before coming together with Scott Littner, Kelly Bensimon was married to Gilles Bensimon.
