Governor Malhotra said on Friday that the U.S. Fed Chair Jerome Powell worked admirable to maintain the freedom of the Central Bank.
“I think he is doing very well. It is very important to maintain the freedom of the Central Bank,” Malhotra said.
US Powell has repeatedly commented on President Donald Trump’s policy rate.
Malhotra said that he was the U.S. A few months ago, finance ministers and top 30-40 countries were present in the gathering of central bankers.
Malhotra said, “What Powell was there. What was he doing and he spoke about the freedom of the Central Bank. He was the only person who got the roaring locks.”
