According to a report by Hindustan TimesThe couple stayed in a private Airbnb villa in Koh Samui, opting for a more personal and secluded experience rather than a luxury resort. A source cited in the report said their vacations reflect their preference for intimate and meaningful settings, like their wedding.
Rashmika and Vijay got married on 26 February in Udaipur. A few days later, he hosted a reception for industry friends in Hyderabad on 4 March.
After their wedding, the couple also shared a note announcing that they would be distributing sweets across several cities in India as part of their celebrations. He said that they will send trucks full of sweets across the country and organize Annadanam in temples and seek blessings from well-wishers.
Sweets were distributed in many cities including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kochi.
On the work front, Vijay and Rashmika will reunite for director Rahul Sankrityayan’s Ranbali. The upcoming Telugu film takes inspiration from real-life events that happened in India between 1854 and 1878 during the British colonial rule.
Rashmika previously acted in the Hindi horror-comedy, Thamma (2025), with Ayushmann Khurrana.
