Ranvir Shorey: I am uncool, controlling my anger will be challenging for me
Ranveer Shorey spoke to IndiaToday.in about why he decided to participate in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’. The actor described himself as ‘uncool’ and expressed concern about controlling his anger.
Ranvir Shorey, one of the contestants of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, called himself ‘uncool’ during an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in. The actor said that he will not show decency if others do not behave properly with him. This interview took place before he entered the controversial reality show.
Before entering ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, Ranveer revealed why he is participating in the show. He said, “I had some doubts about the show. Honestly, I get a call every year, but I was not in that mood. This year my son was going to the USA with his mother for a month and I also did not have any project commitments. Also, I really needed a detox from screens as I was tired of death-scrolling on social media.”
In ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, Ranveer also told that he does not have much work, due to which he came to the show.
When asked if it was the low phase of his career that prompted him to appear in ‘BB OTT 3’, Ranveer replied, “Even if it did, what’s wrong with it? I have been in this industry for 25 years and have seen many ups and downs. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in doing a show that can (revive your career). If it helps your career, it’s all for the good. I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
Having worked with Salman Khan in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, the actor joked that he missed the opportunity of being given some leeway by the previous host: “It could have worked in my favour. But Anil sir also has a lot of energy and a great youthful spirit. I am looking forward to interacting with him and hope he will be comfortable with me as well.”
Ranvir Shorey said that he has not followed the show and has only watched the episodes after signing up. Known to be quite cold-natured in real life, Ranvir was asked how he will keep his cool in front of strangers inside the house. Describing himself as an impatient person, he said, “I am an uncool person and it will be challenging for me to control my temper. The good thing is that there is no pressure or responsibility on me outside, so I can stay calm. However, I want to be who I am and treat people the way they treat me. If they cross the line, you can’t expect me to show decency.”
