Rani Mukherjee is set to re-connect with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action-thriller ‘King’, playing a decisive cameo role. The film begins shooting this month and released at the end of 2026.

Actor Rani Mukherjee is all set to appear in his much awaited film ‘King’ in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Siddharth Anand director, already creating discussion for his star-staded artists, just added another powerhouse artist to his lineup.

According to a report by PinkvillaMukherjee will play an important extended cameo in the film, in which the mother of Suhana Khan’s character will be depicted. Sources close to production revealed that his role would serve as a major emotional anchor in the story. “Rani Mukherjee and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together in films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabi Khushi Kabi Gum’, and ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, and are now ready to play a role completely. In the film, the report said in the report.

It is a renovation for Mutrajee and SRK, who has shared the screen in many prestigious Bollywood films. Even though his role in ‘King’ spread only for five days of shooting, the report mentions that it was an easy yes for the actor. A source close to the news portal said, “It was a no-brother for Rani to offer yes to offer Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand for ‘King’. She listened to the part, and immediately agreed to ride on the film. Rani’s track is the heart of ‘King’, which takes to the emotional depth,” the news portal said.

Earlier, there were several reports that Deepika Padukone could play the role of Suhana Khan’s mother in the film.

‘King’ shows Khan as a killer, in which Abhishek Bachchan is allegedly playing the role of opponent and Deepika Padukone. The film is ready to start shooting in Mumbai on May 20, followed by an international program in Europe. The dramatic release is currently targeted for October-December 2026 window.
