Ranbir Kapoor crowns Dhurandhar as his top choice in films: Cast, crew break it down
Ranbir Kapoor recently expressed his admiration for Ranveer Singh starrer espionage thriller Dhurandhar and called it his favorite film. The film has received widespread recognition and its sequel is set to release next month.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor praised stalwartDescribed it as his current favorite film. The actor shared his thoughts during a live interaction with fans on Saturday, when he was asked about the most recent film he enjoyed watching.
Answering the question, Ranbir said, “The last, current favorite film was stalwart. I liked that film very much. I think the entire cast and crew tore it up. Had a really good time at the movies.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, stalwart In the film, Ranveer Singh plays the role of an Indian intelligence officer who is tasked with infiltrating criminal gangs in Lyari, Pakistan and destroying a terrorist network. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in lead roles.
The espionage thriller has emerged as one of the biggest box-office successes in recent times. The film has reportedly grossed over Rs 1300 crore worldwide and became the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the domestic box office.
Many personalities from the industry have publicly praised the film. Filmmakers Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma praised the film on social media. Eternal Sunshine Productions, backed by Alia Bhatt, also congratulated the team, and described the film as a defining dramatic moment for contemporary Indian cinema.
sequel, Dhurandhar: RevengeScheduled to release on March 19, 2026. Ranveer Singh will reprise his role alongside Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan. The film is set to clash with Yash starrer Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups.
