The periodic epic ‘Ramayana’ is coming back to the big screen in a grand new avatar, starring the acclaimed director Nitesh Tiwari. The much awaited title of this ambitious mythological adaptation will be unveiled today at 11:30 am on July 3. In a unique step, the launch will be together in nine major Indian cities, which will provide fans a nationwide cinematic moment.

Title glimpse for release in 9 cities

Lord Ram as Ranbir Kapoor, Sita as Sita as Sita and Yash as Ravana, promises a powerful retailing of the ancient saga aimed at both Indian and global audiences. The unveiling program will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi and Bengaluru, which will also include the prestigious Prasad Multiplex in Hyderabad.

However, the event (in Mumbai/Delhi) is unlikely to participate by most artists. Ranbir Kapoor is currently in London with his wife Alia Bhatt and mother Neetu Kapoor, while Yash and his wife Radhika are also holidaying abroad.

While the official title glimpse is ready to unveil later today, a few select people have already been treated for a special preview, including business analyst Taran Adarsha. He shared his first impression of much awaited epic on his X handle.

In another post, Adarsha shared more information about the footage. “Yes, yes, yes, the first glimpse of #Ramayana is 3 minutes long and will be unveiled tomorrow (3 July 2025). The 7-minute vision Shorel is a separate video unit that provides insight into the plan and execution of this monumental project. The second part starts from this August (SIC),” he said.

Artists, crew, release details

The first poster of the ‘Ramayana’ was unveiled by the nominated Malhotra, who is one of the makers of Magnum Ops, founder and global CEO of Prime Focus Studio, revealed that the film will be released in two parts in November 2024.

‘Ramayana’, built on a grand scale, has crossed the production cost of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ (Rs 600 crore), ‘RRR’ and ‘Edipurush’ (both Rs 550 crore), as reported. Hindustan TimesThe estimated budget of the film is around Rs 835 crore.

By adding to Star Power, Ravi Dubey plays the role of Laxman, while Sunny Deol steps into the role of Hanuman. The artists include Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari and Lara Dutta also as Kaki. Star-staded film Diwali is set to release in two parts during 2026 and Diwali 2027.

Promising a visual spectacle, ‘Ramayana’ is being brought into life with a state -of -the -art effect from Oscar winner VFX Studio DNEG. Along with Tiwari, the film aims to mix the soul of the original story with contemporary cinematic language – to appeal equally to a new generation of dedicated fans and spectators of the epic.

The team of ‘Ramayana’ recently filmed, and a emotional video of lead actor Ranbir Kapoor has now surfaced online. In the clip, Ranbir is seen expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the entire film’s entire actors and crew.

Calling it the most important role of his career, Ranbir thanked the team for his dedication and support throughout the journey. He also accepted his co -artists – Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, and others – who are part of this ambitious project.
