Ram Kapoor says don’t blame Akshay Kumar for his flops: He is the producer

Actor Ram Kapoor has defended Akshay Kumar’s recent flops, blaming the producers rather than the actor for the failures. He praised Akshay’s professionalism and lauded him for maintaining his stardom for 30 years.

Actor Akshay Kumar has struggled to deliver hits at the box office recently. Films like Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Katputli and Ram Setu failed to perform at the box office. However, actor Ram Kapoor argues that Akshay alone cannot be blamed for these failures; Producers share responsibility.

When he was asked why despite this Akshay did not change his choice of films. criticized for repetition, Ram highlighted the importance of maintaining professional relationships. “If a director or producer with whom you have worked in the past returns with new projects, you cannot say no for the sake of a good relationship. You can’t suddenly become arrogant and say, ‘No, I can’t do another film with you,'” he said.

He emphasized that no actor deliberately chooses a flop project. “They look at the person who is backing it, a good script, good money and a good role. Now you never know what works when—no one is able to understand it,” Ram explained.

Drawing comparisons with Aamir Khan, Ram said, “It is easy for outsiders to say, ‘He (Akshay) did this or that,’ but when Aamir decided to do one film a year, he had to It took about eight years to get there because he had committed to so many projects that he had to complete before deciding to do one film a year.

Ram also praised Akshay’s professionalism, calling it “legendary”. He said, “He (Akshay) is the first person to come on the set and not go in his van. He never leaves the set.” Praising Akshay for maintaining his stardom for 30 years, Ram said, “This industry is very cut-throat… They throw people out in seconds. So, if you’re still managing to be the star you were 30 years ago, there’s something you must be doing right. it is not easy.”

Reflecting on Akshay’s recent flops and repetitive roles, Ram concluded, “It’s the producer’s mistake. He works only with the biggest producers. Now, if these people are saying, ‘You have to work in this film; This will work,’ then how is it Akshay’s fault? It’s not one person’s decision – it’s the entire team’s decision. You can’t blame any one person.”

On a personal note, Ram Kapoor also recently made headlines for his remarkable physical transformation, losing 55 kg in just 18 months.
