Ram Charan’s Peddi gets U/A 16+ certificate after minor censor cuts, runtime lock

Peddi starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor has received a U/A 16+ certificate ahead of its theatrical release. The makers also revealed the final runtime of the film after the cuts and revisions recommended by the CBFC.

pediThe film, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, has completed its censorship formalities ahead of its theatrical release on June 4. The sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana has now received a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, with details of its runtime and suggested modifications also surfacing online.

According to the manufacturers, pedi Its final runtime is 189 minutes, which translates to 3 hours and 9 minutes.

The certification details were reportedly released on May 22, 2026.

As part of the certification process, the CBFC recommended certain changes to the film. The word “Rajasthan” and a reference to a community were reportedly removed, while six words in the sports drama were muted or modified.

Despite edits and replacements, the film’s final runtime remains unchanged at 3 hours and 9 minutes.

This development comes days after the makers unveiled the official trailer of the film during a grand launch event held in Mumbai.

In pediRam Charan plays the lead role, while Janhvi Kapoor plays the role of Achiamma. The film also stars Shiv Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani and Divyendu in lead roles.

The film is backed by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment.
