Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City was abuzz on Saturday night when Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor joined music maestro AR Rahman for his live concert, and it wasn’t just another star-studded appearance. The trio came together to celebrate their much-awaited collaboration on ‘Peddi’, which marked Rahman’s first film with Ram Charan.

The evening saw a packed crowd dancing to Rahman’s iconic Telugu and Hindi hit songs, with the newly released single ‘Chikiri’ from ‘Peddi’ taking center stage. The concert doubled as a concert and a teaser for one of the most anticipated soundtracks of 2025. The crowd erupted in joy when Rahman welcomed the ‘RRR’ star on stage.

On stage, Ram Charan expressed his admiration for Rahman and recalled how he had always dreamed of working with the Oscar-winning composer. “Collaborating with AR Rahman has been my childhood dream, and I’m very happy that it’s happening for a film as special as Peddi,” the actor said to thunderous applause from the audience. Janhvi Kapoor also echoed his sentiments and called it a memorable moment of her career.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘Peddi’ is billed as a rustic rural action drama, pairing Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor for the first time. The film’s first single ‘Chikiri’ has already struck a chord with fans, adding to the buzz around Rahman’s dynamic score.

Currently in the final stages of shooting, ‘Peddi’ will be released on March 27 next year.
