Superstar Salman Khan will return as the host of Bigg Boss 18. Ahead of the show’s premiere on October 6, we have listed the eight most eccentric and controversial contestants in the history of Bigg Boss.

1. Rakhi Sawant – Bigg Boss 1

Rakhi Sawant’s appearance in the inaugural season of Bigg Boss in 2006 remains one of the most memorable highlights of the show. Known for her outspoken and fearless personality, she brought drama, entertainment and a lot of controversies to the house.

Rakhi was often seen engaging in lively confrontations with fellow housemates, while her candid and emotional expressions provided plenty of entertainment to the viewers. Rakhi was also a contestant in Bigg Boss 14 (finalist) and Bigg Boss Marathi 4.

2. Dolly Bindra – Bigg Boss 4

Another controversial personality, Dolly Bindra, was known for her aggressive and abusive behavior towards other contestants, especially Kasauti Zindagi Ki fame Shweta Tiwari. His frequent outbursts, foul language and physical altercations made him a target of criticism. And remember, Dolly’s heated exchange with singer, actor and politician Manoj Tiwari remains one of the controversial moments of the show.

Although, over the years, Bigg Boss has evolved and featured some of the worst fights, Dolly Bindra and Shweta Tiwari’s fight still tops the charts.

3. Pooja Mishra – Bigg Boss 5

Pooja Mishra’s tenure in Bigg Boss was marked by her temperamental nature, fearlessness and confrontational attitude. Her constant arguments, threats, and physical altercations with other contestants made her one of the most controversial housemates of her season. His entry into the show marked a whole new level of drama and intensity that Bigg Boss loyalists had never seen before.

Apart from this, Pooja Mishra continued to make headlines even after her exit. She remained in the public eye due to various controversies including filing a lawsuit against Sunny Leone and creating an uproar on social media.

4. Imam Siddiqui – Bigg Boss 9

Casting director, actor and stylist Imam Siddiqui’s participation in Bigg Boss was marked by his eccentric and aggressive behaviour. His controversial statements, including his derogatory comments about women and his aggressive confrontations with other contestants, made him one of the most disliked housemates of the season.

Siddiqui was thrown out of the Bigg Boss house midway through the season, following a heated altercation with fellow contestant Aashka Goradia. She was also accused of wearing a skin-tone bodysuit inside the house, which she started taking off at one point, making other housemates feel uncomfortable.

5. Armaan Kohli – Bigg Boss 7

Armaan Kohli’s participation in Bigg Boss was spoiled due to his abusive behavior towards his co-housemate Sofia Hayat. His controlling and possessive nature towards his then girlfriend, Kajol’s sister, actor Tanisha Mukherjee, led to backlash. However, they parted ways soon after the show went off-air.

Ultimately, not only was he thrown out of the show, but he was also arrested by the police for assaulting Hayat during a task on the show. Armaan is also known to date Munmun Dutta, who is known for her role as Babita Iyer in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

6. Swami Om – Bigg Boss 10

Swami Om is best remembered for his scandalous behavior during his stint in Bigg Boss. His self-proclaimed spiritual condition, combined with his manipulative tactics and physical altercations, made him one of the most despised contestants in the show’s history. He was eventually thrown out of the show after being accused of collecting urine in a bowl during a task and throwing it on other contestants.

7. Priyanka Jagga Muiz – Bigg Boss 10

Priyanka Jagga Muiz gained notoriety after she was thrown out of Bigg Boss 10 by Salman Khan. His abusive behavior, which included verbal abuse towards housemates and abortion claims, made him one of the most controversial contestants on the show.

8. Zubair Khan – Bigg Boss 11

Filmmaker Zubair Khan’s stint in Bigg Boss was short-lived but highly controversial. His aggressive and abusive behavior towards other contestants, including his physical attack on fellow housemate Akash Dadlani, led to his immediate eviction and widespread condemnation.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 18 will premiere on Sunday, October 6 on Colors TV and will be streamed alternatively on JioCinema app.

The official list of confirmed contestants is not known yet. However, during the grand finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, host Rohit Shetty confirmed the participation of actor Nia Sharma in the Salman Khan-led show. Along with her, Karanvir Mehra, Sameera Reddy, Shilpa Shirodkar and others are also among the popular names listed as potential contestants for the upcoming season.
