Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Calm Down’ cover in ‘Stree 2’ cost Rs 25 lakh: Abhishek Banerjee
Abhishek Banerjee revealed that the makers have spent Rs 25 lakh on Rajkummar Rao’s version of the song ‘Calm Down’ in ‘Stree 2’. The film is currently running in theatres.

Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who plays Jana in Amar Kaushik’s ‘Stree 2’, revealed that Rajkummar Rao created an expensive version of the popular song ‘Calm Down’ for the film. The improvisation cost the production an additional Rs 25 lakh. ‘Stree 2’ is currently enjoying success The film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office worldwide.
Abhishek Banerjee jokingly called it the most expensive work in history. Fever FM Rajkummar Rao’s spontaneous inclusion of the ‘Lo Lo Lo’ line from Reema’s popular song turned out to be a costly endeavor. The filmmakers had to acquire the music rights for this unplanned improvisation at a whopping cost of Rs 25 lakh.
Earlier, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Abhishek Banerjee had shared His thoughts on working with Akshay Kumar In the film. He said, “It was just one day (for shooting), but I was waiting for that day for probably 25 years of my life, ever since I started watching Akshay Kumar’s films. Ever since I saw ‘Khiladi’, ‘Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi’, ‘Sabse Bada Khiladi’, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi’, ‘Mohra’ (all these films). I used to be a big fan of Akshay Kumar.”
Abhishek is playing the character of Jana in ‘Stree 2’. Along with him in the film are Rajkumar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi. The film is running successfully in theatres with huge business at the box office.
