Actor Rajiv Khandelwal recently talked about how he was considered ego after leaving Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kahin to Hogi’ (2003–2005). He also opened on articles that claimed that he had “lock horn” with Kapoor for demanding more money for the show.
Khandelwal, in an interview ScreenRemember when a lot of negative articles were written about him. He said, “People wrote such things, ‘He has become very big for his shoes’, but no one knew the truth. Whatever came was that I had closed the horns with Acqual, that I was leaving him, and I think I had come.”
The actor further said, “I left the show at my peak, refused money, popularity – so many people thought I was egoistic. After leaving ‘left right’, I also knew that I would not be doing a lot of work on TV. I realized that no manufacturer would give me work.”
“I had a lot of quarrels with the manufacturers – when you get out of a show, he is not happy.
He said, “At that time, it was believed to leave a show that the actor wanted more money, which I was also introduced. He said that he would increase my remuneration, and I said, reduce it – but give me quality,” he said.
The first collaboration with the actor with Kapoor was the Hindi Thriller-Anthology Show-‘Kaya Hudsa Kya Haqiqat’ (2003). He later became popular with ‘Kahin to Hogi’ (2003–2005). Khandelwal hosted reality television series-‘Sacch Ka Saamana’ (2009) and its second season as well as (2011). He made her Bollywood debut with Raj Kumar Gupta’s ‘Aamir’ (2008).
Khandelwal was last seen on the web show-‘The Secret of the Shootders’ (2025). The mystery also featured in the decisive characters in Sai Tamhakar, Gaurav Amlani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Dilip Prabhavalkar.
