Rajinikanth congratulates Team Amaran, meets Sivakarthikeyan and film crew
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth recently met Amaran’s team and congratulated them. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan and stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role.
Tamil cinema icon Rajinikanth recently met the team behind Amaran, the latest film produced by his close friend and fellow actor Kamal Haasan.
The meeting was attended by lead actor Sivakarthikeyan, director Rajkumar Periyasamy, cinematographer CH Sai and producer R Mahendran, which demonstrated Rajinikanth’s support for the film and its makers.
In a social media post shared on the official The post was captioned, “Rajinikanth watches his friend Kamal Haasan’s production venture, Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and starring Sivakarthikeyan.”
A day before the meeting, Rajinikanth had spoken to Kamal Haasan over phone and personally congratulated him on the production of the film.
Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s film is currently making waves at the box office. The film, which is a biopic of Major Mukund Varadarajan, recorded Sivakarthikeyan’s highest opening number. On the second day, despite two big budget Bollywood releases, Tamil films continued to perform well at the box office.
According to tracking website Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 19.25 crore at the domestic box office on the second day. The film earned Rs 21.40 crore on its opening day.The total collection of the film has now reached Rs 40.65 crore. Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, is one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year.
