Superstar Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after suffering severe stomach pain. After this, he had to undergo an elective procedure, and a stent was placed near his stomach area. While the Vettaiyan actor is stable and under observation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to his wife Latha to inquire about his health condition.
Tamil Nadu BJP state president revealed on his Instagram account that PM Modi spoke to Rajinikanth’s wife on phone to know whether the actor is fine or not. He also wished Thalaivar a speedy recovery amid health concerns.
The post read, “Our Honorable Prime Minister Thiru @NarendraModi AVL spoke to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth AVL today on telephone to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @Rajinikanth AVL. Well being of Thiru Rajinikanth to the Honorable Prime Minister Informed about AVL post-surgery and the Honorable Prime Minister wished him a speedy recovery.

On Tuesday, a team of doctors performed an elective procedure on Rajinikanth in the cath lab. The actor’s condition is stable and he will be discharged in a few days. “He (Rajinikanth) had inflammation of the main blood vessel originating from the heart, which was treated with a nonsurgical, transcatheter method,” the Apollo Hospital medical bulletin said. It is further written that Thalaivar will come home in the next two days.
Meanwhile, many A-listers from the film fraternity are praying for the speedy recovery of Rajinikanth in the hospital. Vijay, Kamal Haasan and other celebrities have shared their wishes for the actor through their social media handles.
Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam chief and actor Thalapathy Vijay wrote, “I pray to God for the complete recovery of superstar Sri Rajinikanth, who is hospitalised. I wish he recovers soon and returns home.”

On the work front, Rajinikanth is looking forward to the grand release of Vettaiyaan on October 10. The film stars Manju Warrier, Amitabh Bachchan and Fahadh Faasil among other actors in lead roles. Next, Thalaivar will star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-awaited film Coolie.
