Rahul Arunoday Banerjee’s death: Production house says there is no doctor in the clinic
Production company Moments Motion Pictures released an official statement on the demise of Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. The statement claimed that people present at the scene had tried to save the actor, whose death has raised concerns about the safety of actors on the set.

The production house, Moments Motion Pictures, in its statement reportedly mentioned that people present at the site had attempted to save the actor, whose death has raised concerns over the safety of actors on the sets.

“He may not have been able to speak clearly. He was then taken to a nearby clinic. Unfortunately, no doctor was available at that time. As a result, he had to be taken again to Digha hospital, where he was eventually declared brought dead,” the statement said.
Moments Wants Time to Gather Motion Pictures Information
The production company requested a few days’ time to gather the cast and crew’s accounts “in a neutral and structured manner”.
The statement read, “We request a few more days to gather their (cast and crew) accounts in a neutral and structured manner. We intend to carefully assess where their statements align and where there may be divergence, so that we can present a comprehensive and accurate report.”
Production company confirms full legal compliance
The statement further said, “We welcome the presence of a nominated representative from Rahul’s family, friends or artists’ platform. This individual can observe our process and help ensure that our data collection and interpretations remain fair and unbiased.” Company representatives assured that they are ready to answer any questions from the actor’s family, including his wife Priyanka Sarkar, who is also an actor.
The production company claimed that they had obtained the necessary legal clearances before shooting and were ready to provide them to the investigation team.
The statement also revealed that the company’s creative head Leena Gangopadhyay, who is also the chairperson of the West Bengal Women’s Commission, was ready to step down to allow an impartial investigation into the 43-year-old actor’s death.
“Leena has been associated with the company as a writer and creative head since 2010. She joined the board in 2011. However, she is not a promoter or an operational executive. Her role has always been limited to creative responsibilities,” the statement said.

The statement concluded, “We understand that these perceptions may have arisen due to Leena’s role as chairperson of the West Bengal Women’s Commission. With this in mind, Leena is willing to step down from her position as chairperson so that any perception of bias does not impact Rahul’s investigation and he does not abdicate his responsibilities in the case.”
On the personal front, Rahul married his co-star Priyanka Sarkar chirodini tumi je immortal. The couple married and had a son named Shohoz. They separated in 2017 but reunited in 2023.
On March 30, Priyanka had appealed for privacy and respect for her family’s grief during this difficult time.
