After the success of Dhurandhar: RevengeR Madhavan is all set to make a comeback with his upcoming biographical drama gdn. The makers of the film have officially announced its worldwide release date along with a new poster and cast details.

The recently released poster offers a great glimpse into the world of the film, where R Madhavan is seen shaking hands and greeting the crowd, capturing the scale and intensity of a man whose contributions shaped India’s industrial and technological progress.

This line is also given in the scene, “Feared by the British, they forgot their countrymen”, which points towards the emotional and historical depth of the narrative.

The makers shared the poster on social media with the caption, “Vision. Innovation. Legacy. #GDN – Inspired by the extraordinary journey of GD Naidu. To release worldwide on July 17, 2026.”

gdn It is based on the life of visionary inventor and industrialist Gopalaswami Doraiswami Naidu, often referred to as the “Edison of India”, and promises to showcase his remarkable journey and legacy.

The poster opens the doors to the bigger world of GD Naidu, rooted in innovation, ambition and revolution, revisiting the life of a pioneer whose story remains largely untold on screen.

Directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, gdn Varghese is produced by Mulan Pictures in association with Tricolor Films and will be released as a multilingual film in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

The film stars a prominent cast including Jayaram, Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiah, Vinay Rai and Yogi Babu.

The film is set to release in theaters worldwide on July 17, 2026.
