R Madhavan’s upcoming biographical drama gdn It has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its theatrical release on 7 August. The film, starring Madhavan in the lead role, is based on the life of great inventor and industrial pioneer GD Naidu. The makers announced the certification on social media by unveiling a new poster of the film.

The certification was granted by the CBFC’s regional office in Thiruvananthapuram. With a U/A rating, the film has been approved with a certified runtime of two hours and 27 minutes. To mark the occasion, the makers shared a poster which features a suitcase as the central visual element, a prop that holds significance in GD Naidu’s journey as shown in the film.

gdn Initially it was scheduled to release in theaters on July 17. However, the makers later postponed the release reportedly to avoid a box-office clash with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s much-awaited final film. Jan NayganWhich is going to be released in theaters on 23rd July.
