R Madhavan shares UPSC success story of labourer’s son ahead of release of Dhurandhar 2
R Madhavan shared the video of a laborer’s son from Chennai clearing the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam in his first attempt. The actor will next be seen in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Actor R Madhavan is set to return as IB (Intelligence Bureau) director Ajay Sanyal in director Aditya Dhar’s film. Dhurandhar: Revenge. Ahead of the film’s release, the actor shared a video on social media, highlighting the success story of a young UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) aspirant who cracked the civil services exam in his first attempt.
Madhavan shared a video of Subramaniam Bharti, son of a daily wage laborer, on his Instagram story. Subramaniam can be seen speaking about how he cracked the UPSC exam after getting guidance through the Naan Mudhalvan scheme of the Tamil Nadu government.

in an interview with ANISubramaniam described his achievement as an extraordinary journey and said he chose civil services to work at the grassroots level and serve the society. He credited the government scheme and coaching support for helping him crack the exam in his first attempt.
Subramaniam said, “I started this journey when I was just 18 years old, without any guidance. My mother and father were my first inspiration, and they inspired me to serve my country in the best possible way.”
Subramaniam’s father Mariappan also talked about his family’s background and expressed pride in his son’s achievement. He also reflected on the importance of hard work and institutional support.
Dhurandhar: Revenge is a spy thriller that continues the story from the first film. Actor Ranveer Singh returns in dual roles as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari. Madhavan played the role of his guru Ajay Sanyal in the film.
The action-thriller also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles. Fans can also look forward to a cameo by Akshaye Khanna, who played the villain Rahman the dacoit in the first installment.
Dhurandhar: Revenge Co-produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios and will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. It is set for theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
