Pushpa 2 earns Rs 8 crore from paid previews; Record of highest pre-sales ever on the first day
As per estimates, the sequel, directed by Sukumar, earned a whopping Rs 8 crore from paid previews across limited locations in India. The film has got the green signal from press screening and premiere show. It will be interesting to see how it impacts the audience going forward.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 has recorded unprecedented pre-sales. The Allu Arjun starrer has sold around 4 lakh tickets across the top three national chains in the Hindi belt – PVR Inox and Cinepolis. Of which, the former recorded 3,25,000 admissions, while the latter contributed around 75,000 admissions.
The film recorded an all-time high pre-sales of Rs 125 crore globally on the first day, including paid premieres. It recorded an advance of around Rs 85 crore at the Indian box office alone. Total advance sales for the opening weekend are even higher.

Going by the trends, the film is set to have a historic start at the box office. It is expected to break the first day box office record of Baahubali 2 and earn more than Rs 230 crore to Rs 250 crore worldwide. In India, it is likely to open between Rs 160 crore to Rs 180 crore, depending on how the film does on Thursday.
For those unaware, the film is releasing in theaters on December 5 with a huge screen count of 12,500 globally. This is the widest release of an Indian film ever. The sequel, locked in with a runtime of 3 hours 20 minutes, also marks the return of Allu Arjun to the big screen after 3 years. Pushpa 2 is releasing with the highest possible ticket price ever in India, especially in the Telugu states.
