After giving films like Madha Gaja Raja, Ambala and Action, directors Sundar C and Vishal are all set to come together again for the fourth time. His upcoming action film is titled Purushan (which translates to Husband in Tamil).

After Thalaivar173’s eviction, Sundar C joins hands with Vishal for the fourth time

In the official title announcement promo, the makers showed a 5 minute and 41 second glimpse of the film, offering an impressive preview. Jhalak starts with Tamannaah Bhatia’s character watching a daily soap opera. The hero in the show is played by Yogi Babu, who is also their neighbour.

Meanwhile, her husband, played by Vishal, is seen cleaning their house, humble and devoted to his wife’s demands. Upon receiving instructions, he goes inside to make tea, when Yogi Babu’s character follows him into the house.

As soon as Vishal’s character enters the kitchen, several people start attacking him, leading to a wild bloodbath inside their house. In an effort to prevent his wife from discovering the danger, the husband dismembers each of them and disposes of the bodies before she can notice.

The entire 5-minute and 41-second glimpse effectively captures the tone of the film, its mix of action and comedy, and ultimately reveals the title man.

Watch the glimpse here:

Written and directed by Sundar C, the film is produced by ACS Arun Kumar. Hiphop Tamizh once again provides the musical compositions, while Venkat Ragavan has written the screenplay and dialogues. Gopi Amarnath serves as the cinematographer, and Roger has been appointed as the editor. Hopefully the shooting will go on floors soon.

Interestingly, Purushan’s announcement came when Sundar C was initially selected to direct the Rajinikanth starrer Thalaivar173. However, due to prior commitments, the director backed out of the project.

Later, Don director Siby Chakraborty was brought on board to direct the film starring Sivakarthikeyan, which is co-produced by Kamal Haasan.

Vishal’s next film

Looking to the future, Vishal is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Magudam. Initially, director Ravi Arasu was announced as the director of the film, but due to creative differences, Vishal has taken over the project himself.

The film is touted to be a gangster action drama, in which Vishal will be seen in three different roles.
