Bro, starring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Durga Tej, was released on July 28, 2023. As the fantasy comedy film approaches its third anniversary, director Samuthirakani has confirmed that the script for the sequel has been completed.
Samuthirakani confirms Pawan Kalyan’s Bro sequel
According to All India Radio, Samuthirakani was seen at an event where he interacted with the media. During the conversation, the filmmaker confirmed that the writing of the Bro sequel has been completed. Actor-director said, ‘The script of Bro 2 is ready, just waiting’ Pawan Kalyan Anna’s green signal.”
For those unaware, Bro is the story of Markandeulu, also known as Mark, a workaholic IT professional who is obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder while neglecting his family. Her life takes a sudden turn when she dies in a car accident, leaving her family in financial and emotional distress.
After his death, Mark encounters a mysterious being named “Time” or the Titan, who gives him a second chance by allowing him to return to Earth for 90 days to correct his mistakes.
During this phase, Mark realized how much he had neglected his loved ones and the responsibilities he had to fulfill. Determined to set things right, he sets out to solve his family’s problems, ensure their stability, and restore balance to his life.
Along with Kalyan and Sai, the film also stars Ketika Sharma, Rohini, Priya Prakash Varrier, Brahmanandam, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore and others in lead roles. This Telugu-language film is a remake of the Tamil film Vinodaya Sitham and received mixed reviews upon its release. It is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
Pawan Kalyan’s work front
Pawan Kalyan was last seen in the lead role Ustad Bhagat SinghDirector Harish Shankar. The film is the story of a man inspired by his teacher, who names him Bhagat Singh and shapes his values. The hero grows up with strong morals and unwavering courage, standing firm against injustice and taking on the forces of evil despite overwhelming odds.
Apart from PSPK, the film also stars Sreeleela, Raashi Khanna, R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, Rajiv Kanakala and Gautami also star in lead roles.
Looking ahead, several rumors have surfaced about the actor’s upcoming projects. However, his team has officially stated that he has not signed any new film, and any announcement will be made in due course.
