The makers of Premam have officially announced that the film will re-release in theaters on February 13, 2026. Sharing the update, the team wrote, “Mollywood’s cult classic ‘Premam’ is re-releasing this Valentine’s Day, celebrate love on the big screen. Fall in love with it all over again.”

Premam is a coming-of-age romantic drama starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role. Directed by Alphonse Puthren, the film tells the story of a young man, George David, and his many meetings with love throughout his life, starting in adolescence.
During his school days, George falls in love with his neighbor Mary, but later learns that she is already in love with someone else, with the same name. Years later, he develops feelings for his visiting professor, Malar, but once again he is unlucky in love.
When love knocks at his door in the form of Celine, the film explores whether George ultimately finds success in romance or faces heartbreak all over again.
Along with Nivin Pauly, the film stars Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran in co-lead roles. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Krishna Shankar, Shabareesh Verma, Siju Wilson, Ananth Nag, Vinay Forte, Soubin Shahir, Anju Kurian and others in lead roles.
The film was a massive hit in theaters and has since achieved cult classic status among fans.
Nivin Pauly’s workfront
Nivin Pauly was last seen in the lead role in Baby Girl, directed by Arun Verma. The film tells the story of Sanal Mathew, a medical attendant who comes under suspicion after a child goes missing from the hospital where he works. As the seemingly innocent man faces increasing pressure, he appears to take the police investigation in unexpected directions, creating a mystery around himself.
Looking ahead, the Sarvam Maya actor will next be seen in B. Unni will be seen in the lead role in an untitled political thriller directed by Krishnan.
