Pawan Kalyan wrote, “I am deeply saddened to learn that Smt. Suvarnalatha Garu, mother of the famous actor Shri @PrakashRaj, has passed away. I pray to God that her soul rests in eternal peace. I express my deepest condolences to Shri Prakash Raj Garu, who is saddened by the demise of his mother, and all his family members.”

Former member of the Legislative Assembly Vishnu Vardhan Reddy also expressed his sympathies, writing, “I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the demise of Suvarna Latha ji, mother of leading actor Shri Prakash Raj. I pray for the peace of her soul. I express my heartfelt condolences to Prakash Raj and his family members during this difficult time.”
Prakash Raj had previously spoken about his mother’s health struggles, including a brain cyst that required surgery. The operation resulted in severe memory loss, affecting his ability to recognize close family members. “She was not an Alzheimer’s patient, but she had a cyst in her brain. Three days after the surgery, she forgot her sister and her son. I shuddered at the thought that my mother would forget everything,” he said at the International Symposium on Dementia in 2018.
She also mentioned efforts to include him by bringing old school friends to talk to him, highlighting the emotional challenges he faced during his illness.
