Prakash Raj joined CJP’s Chalo Sansad march in Delhi and waved the Constitution after addressing protesters over alleged NEET irregularities. The protest received support from actors and students as allegations of police action and detentions intensified the movement.
Actor Prakash Raj on Monday joined the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) ‘Chalo Sansad’ march in New Delhi and extended his support to the protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. Waving a copy of the Indian Constitution, the actor addressed the protesters while marching towards Parliament on the opening day of the monsoon session.
Speaking at the protest, Raj said he was not afraid to tell the truth And questioned why people should be afraid to stand up for what they believe in. “I don’t want to die before I die,” he said, adding that while many in the film industry prefer to remain silent, he believes it is important to raise your voice when students are demanding justice.

Actor Sonam Wangchuk has been one of the most prominent celebrity supporters of the CJP-led movement. He has repeatedly demanded accountability over alleged NEET paper irregularities and demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
a day before, Raj joins actor Shabana Azmi and Poonam Pandey at Jantar Mantar, where students, activists and supporters had gathered to show solidarity with Wangchuk’s movement. Videos from the venue showed Raj addressing the crowd from the stage while protesters chanted slogans. In another moment, Shabana was seen kissing the hand of a student who was on an indefinite hunger strike, while Poonam said that the protest was about the safety of the students’ future rather than politics or religion.
On Monday morning, Raj and Shabana were present when the indefinite fast students along with Wangchuk ended their hunger strike. Several members of the film fraternity, including Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, Omi Vaidya, Dia Mirza, Seema Pahwa and Chinmayi Sripada, have also expressed their support for Wangchuk in recent times.
As the march moved towards Parliament, the CJP alleged that its founder Abhijit Dubke had been detained by the police. The organization also claimed that security personnel used force against peaceful protesters. The charges come days after Wangchuk was removed from the protest site by police and admitted to hospital following concerns over his health.
Thousands of students, activists and professionals participated in the march in central Delhi. According to news agency PTI, after the protesters crossed the barricades installed near the Parliament, the police fired tear gas shells and resorted to lathicharge. Despite the police action, the protesters continued their march and insisted that they would not retreat until their demands for accountability and exam reforms were addressed.
Prakash Raj was one of the most prominent faces of the protest during the two-day protest, reiterating his support for the students and urging people not to remain silent in the face of injustice. His involvement along with several other public figures gave further visibility to the movement that has been gaining momentum over alleged irregularities in the NEET exam.
