Prakash Raj on Vijay’s election victory: Society is fan oriented, not political
Prakash Raj reacts to Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam being ahead in Tamil Nadu election results. While congratulating the winners, he expressed concern over fan-driven politics.
Actor-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), is leading in the Tamil Nadu election results, prompting several actors from the south film industry to send congratulatory messages. Apart from Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Rashmika Mandanna, actor Prakash Raj also reacted to the assembly election results. Referring to the state of politics and public discussion, he said that “society has become fan-centric.”

Prakash Raj wrote in his ex-post, “Tamil Nadu Elections Hello Tamil Nadu.. Kamaraj lost. MK Stalin lost. The society has become fan-dominant. It has been proved that it has not become political.”
“Raising political awareness is always the job of the opposition party. Let’s continue our journey. Congratulations to the winners for their successful public service…#JustTasking,” he said.
Responding to the actor, an ex-user wrote, “You are not a Tamilian and don’t speak for us @prakashraj (sic).” Another user commented, “Even if you are an actor, you lost the elections heavily (laughing emoji).”
A fan criticized the actor’s reference to Tamil Nadu politics and wrote, “You are living in Karnataka. Why are you entering Tamil Nadu politics? We know what to do, we have more knowledge, we don’t need your stupid advice.”
Counting trends in Tamil Nadu have shown that Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), is leading on about 108 seats and registering the highest vote share in its first election.
Vijay will next be seen in director H Vinoth’s film Jan Naygan. Along with Vijay, the film stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in lead roles, with Mamita Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Narayan also part of the cast.
