Pradeep Ranganathan, who has been steadily building a strong fan base across India with his recent films, is all set to return to the director’s chair for his next project. Producer Archana Kalpathi confirmed that Pradeep will both act and direct the film, which will be produced by his banner.

talking to Galata PlusArchana Kalpathi said, “Pradeep Ranganathan himself is going to act and direct the next film. We are producing it under AGS. It is a very exciting film. We are planning to shoot and release the film in 2026.” This is Pradeep’s third collaboration with AGS Entertainment after the successful love today (2022) and Python (2025).

Archana also talked about other projects under development at AGS. She revealed that she is collaborating with director Ashwath Marimuthu and actor Silambarasan, and is also producing another film starring Arjun, Abhiram and Preethi Mukundan, which is scheduled to release early next year.

This announcement has come at a time when Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Company (LIK) Awaiting release after facing several delays. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film stars Kriti Shetty and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. Release was initially planned for Diwali, but the film was postponed and later rescheduled for 18 December. The sci-fi romantic entertainer is backed by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios.

Meanwhile, Pradeep was last seen FriendDirected by debutant Keertheeswaran and co-starring Mamita Baiju. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film grossed over Rs 100 crore worldwide, becoming Pradeep’s third consecutive Rs 100 crore grosser after Love Today and Dragon.
