Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab to release on OTT with extended version? Here’s what we know

Raja Saab, an ambitious horror comedy film starring Prabhas in the lead role, was released theatrically in Indian theaters on 9 January. Despite failing to satisfy everyone, it still grossed more than Rs. After earning Rs 200 crore at the box office, the film is confirmed for an OTT premiere on 6 February. Now, a new piece of information has emerged regarding the Telugu project, with the makers announcing that an extended cut of the film will be hitting fans this time.

On February 5, just a day before the release of the Maruthi-directed film, the OTT platform confirmed that the film will release with some additional content. JioHotstar Telugu social media update reads, “Due to unexpected circumstances and last-minute technical glitches, we have added extended cuts! Sorry for the inconvenience caused due to promotion. India’s Biggest Superstar on JioHotstar | February 6,” JioHotstar’s X (formerly Twitter) account wrote, only for trolling on the platform and Reddit. The OTT platform is also promoting it as the ‘first compelling thriller’. There was also a poster of the film along with it.

About Raja Saab

The film tells the story of a man named Raja Saab, played by Prabhas, who takes care of his grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and has only memories of her husband Kanakaraju, whose sudden disappearance several years ago left her worried. To find out the truth and possibly sell his ancestral property for his own monetary gain, he goes to Hyderabad and discovers that his grandfather was an exorcist who created trouble rather than being the victim. As his filial duty and moral compass and his need to survive collide, a harrowing scene unfolds, leaving him and his companions fearing for their lives.

Apart from Prabhas, The Raja Saab stars Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (in her Telugu debut), Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab.
