Pooja Hegde, who has recently attracted attention with her energetic tricks in her upcoming film retro, has talked about facing target online trolling, alleging that people are spending a lot of money to spread negativity against her.

In a recent interview with FilmfareHe mentioned PR and trolling, and said, “One thing I am really bad is PR. I am very bad on it. I remember a time when I was constantly being trolled on some memes pages, and I wondered why they kept talking negatively about me. It looked targeted. People are clearly spending a lot of money.”

He revealed that he and his family were repeatedly upset with negative positions. “My parents and I was very upset when we came to know. But I also took it as a praise, because if someone feels the need to pull you down, it means that you are above them,” he shared.

Hegde further claimed that his team reached these memes pages and it was found that trolling was a paid activity. “Later, when my team joined the meme pages, they told us, ‘how much they are paying us. If you want to stop it or troll them back, it is the amount. For me, it’s bizarre that people are going to the extent,” he said.

He also indicated the presence of bots being used for online trolling. He said, “Sometimes, I check the comments, go on profiles, and see that there are no display-digestive or posts, yet these accounts exist. These are just paid bots,” he said.
