Actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt spoke against the deteriorating situation of Mumbai’s roads, especially in Bandra, highlighting civil negligence behind the city’s recurring pit problem. His comment comes at a time when the citizen of Mumbai is giving voice to similar frustrations, questioning the accountability of civilian officers.

On Tuesday, Bhatt wrote on X (East Twitter) to share his concern, “Mumbai city and especially Bandra city and especially Bandra are in a very poor condition. There are pits everywhere. Is this so most of the roads were closed/blocked for months under the guise of repair? When will this apathy end?”

His post quickly resonated with the citizens, many of which shared similar complaints about the quality of the road, especially when the pits become even more dangerous during the monsoon season. Many users accused the “incorrect priorities” by the authorities, stating that the funds are directed to beautification projects, ignoring infrastructure such as roads and drainage.

A user alleged, “The public infrastructure is deliberately built with poor quality to rebuild it, contractors and politicians earn bribe. The common man keeps paying high taxes, but nothing of quality is found. It is a vicious cycle of corruption, which has no way.”

Despite being the financial capital of India, Mumbai has repeatedly faced criticism for inability to maintain essential civil services. The issue of the pit has been a source of disappointment for the long -term residents, especially, increases concerns about safety, efficiency and governance.

On the work front, Pooja Bhatt was last seen in ‘Bigg Boss Oat’ And the Amazon Minitav was depicted in the web series ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’.
