The upcoming Tamil period drama ‘Parasakthi’ starring Shivkarthikeyan is set for a grand dramatic release. The producers have officially confirmed that the film will hit the screen on 14 January. Interestingly, its release has been done only a few days after the high anticipated Jan Nayagan of Vijay, which is coming on 9 January.

In its 25th film, mainly by SivakartheeKeyan, the film is ready for a dramatic start on January 14 with Pongal. Written and directed by Sudha Kongra, the film has a milestone in the actor’s career.

‘Parasakthi’ also told Serelela, who marked his Tamil debut, in the lead roles in front of Shivkartikeayan with Atharva and Ravi Mohan.

Interestingly, Ravi Mohan plays a negative role for the first time in his career. The technical team of the film edits GV Prakash Kumar as music composer, Ravi’s Chandran as cinematographer, Satish Suriya, and includes the supreme beautiful who designed the action sequence.

The expectation is moving high for both films- ‘Jana Nayagan’ as the latest venture of Vijay and for the much-awaited follow-up ‘Sorarai Potru’ of Sudha Kongra as ‘Parasakthi’.

Vijay announced that his upcoming film, ‘Jan Nayagan’, would be his last project, before he sinks full -time in politics. ‘Jan Nayagan’, directed by H Winoth, is an anticipated political action drama characterized by Vijay as a former police officer. The actors of the film’s actors include prominent names like Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol.

Ahead of Pongal, ‘Jan Nayagan’ will be released in theaters on January 9, 2026.
