This is the all-new Poco M8, and it’s the latest entry in the storied M-series. Our review unit is waiting for its unboxing, so let’s not keep you waiting any longer.
Poco devices usually come well-equipped in these slim-boxes with no support time, and the M8 is no different. The M8 comes with a gray silicone case, a 45W power adapter, and a USB-C cable. The charger will probably not be bundled in the EU market.
We have the green variant, which has a matte dual-tone approach at the back and a nice textured finish on the sides. The M8 features IP65 and IP66 dust and water protection, and there are some forgotten features like an IR blaster on the top and a dual SIM slot that can also add a microSD card for storage.

You are greeted with a curved 6.77-inch AMOLED screen (FHD+ 120Hz) on the front, which complements the curvature on the back and makes the M8 feel good to hold in the hand. The dual-curved approach also adds the illusion of a thinner phone, even though the M8 is no slouch at just 7.4mm and 178 grams.
Elsewhere, the Poco M8 Lite is equipped with a 50MP main camera with Fusion 400 sensor and a 2MP depth helper. The remaining cutout inside the camera island houses the LED flash and a sticker.

The device comes with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, although we would have liked to see the new HyperOS 3 with Android 16. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip sits at the top along with 8GB of RAM and 256/512GB of storage. The M8 also packs a 5,520 mAh Si/C battery, which also supports reverse wired charging at up to 18W speed.
On paper, the Poco M8 looks like a good deal, given the starting price of $230/£230. Our review team is already putting the device through our usual tests, and we’ll be back with the verdict soon.
