Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Elon Musk during a visit to America and the Starlink entry in the South Asian market can be discussed during the meeting, the Reuters reported two people familiar with the plans.

Starlink wants to start operations in India. The Government of India has supported Musk’s idea that the spectrum should be assigned instead of auction. However, Starlink’s license application is still being reviewed.

One of the sources told Reuters, “Musk agrees to assure India’s security concerns, including stoing data at the local level.”

It was not clear that Tesla’s entry into India would come to discuss between PM Modi and Musk, Reuters said citing sources. However, an increased sourcing of electric vehicle components from India can be discussed during the meeting.

PM Modi is all set to meet US President Donald Trump during a two -day visit to America. PM Modi is traveling to America after concluding his three -day visit to France. This will be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit in the United States since the inauguration of the second presidential inauguration of President Donald Trump.
