The Pixel 9 series is launching globally tonight and the India launch will take place tomorrow. This time around, Google is rumoured to launch four smartphones in its flagship Pixel series and it is not yet clear which models will hit the Indian market. These models are Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel Fold. But, ahead of the official launch of the Pixel 9 series, the India prices of the new devices have leaked online. A reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav has revealed the Pixel 9 series prices in India on X (formerly Twitter), which he claims to have received from a reliable source. The tipster claims that the Pixel 9 smartphone will have a starting price of Rs 79,999 and the Pixel 9 Pro is expected to be priced at Rs 1,09,999.

The tipster also revealed that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be priced at Rs 1,24,999 in India and the Pixel Fold will be priced at Rs 1,72,999. Google will launch the XL model for the first time in its flagship series and it will likely be aimed at those who want a Pixel device and the most premium experience. Notably, Google has already announced its foldable phone in the global market, but it is bringing a flexible phone to India for the first time.

If the leaked Pixel 9 series prices in India turn out to be true, it means that Google has made the Pixel phones more expensive, although their price is close to Apple’s iPhone 15 series. To recall, the Pixel 8 was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 75,999, which means Google is planning to hike its price by Rs 4,000 with the launch of the new Pixel 9 smartphone, as per the latest leak. The Pixel 8 Pro was announced in India at Rs 1,06,999, so the new version could see a price hike of Rs 3,000, as per the leak.

For those interested in knowing the price of last year’s iPhone, let us tell you that the price of iPhone 15 is Rs 79,600. The price of iPhone 15 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 and the price of Pro Max is Rs 1,59,900. The Plus model was launched at Rs 89,900.

So, if the leaked prices of the Pixel 9 series are true, there will be almost no difference in price between the standard Pixel models and the iPhone 15. Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro, there is a huge difference in price compared to the India price of the Pixel 9 Pro, something that the leaks reveal. The leak suggests that the Pixel 9 Pro will be cheaper than the iPhone 15 Pro by Rs 24,901, but whether the new Google phone will justify its higher price remains to be seen.
