Photos: Actors Simran, Simbu have a warm reunion with CM Vijay at his party headquarters
Actress Simran along with her family met Chief Minister Vijay at the TVK headquarters in Chennai, while actor Silambarasan also met him. After his swearing-in, a flood of congratulatory people joined his post.

Actor Simran met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay at the Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) headquarters in Chennai on Monday, years after the two shared screen space. She was accompanied by her husband and two sons, and later shared photos of the meeting along with a note recalling their collaboration and praising her warmth, humility and vision for the state.
Vijay and Simran are among the iconic couples of Tamil cinema and have acted in films like nerukku ner, Once more, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Priyamanwale And blown up.

Sharing photos from their visit, Simran wrote, “After sharing the screen together for years, it was a pleasure to meet Honorable Chief Minister Thiru Vijay and my family. The warmth, humility and sincerity that endeared him to so many people is exactly the same! His passion and vision for the progress of our state is inspiring. Best wishes to him as he takes Tamil Nadu forward.”

Actor Silambarasan, also known as Simbu, also met Vijay on Monday and posted pictures of the meeting. His posts came as members of the film industry flocked to meet Vijay in person after he was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10.
Silambarasan also shared photos of their meeting and wrote, “Pleased to meet Honorable Chief Minister Vijay Anna today. I wish him strength, success and God’s blessings as he serves the people of Tamil Nadu.”

Ever since Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, his colleagues from the film industry have been flocking to congratulate him and wish him good health. The actor-turned-Chief Minister secured 108 seats in his first attempt. Tamil Nadu has been ruled by two Dravidian parties, the DMK and the AIADMK, for the past six decades, before Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, won the assembly elections.
