Philip Lowe, who played a Dennis Tanner at the ITV’s Coronation Street, died on Friday (April 25) at the age of 88, his pracharak, Mario Rainzulo confirmed ITV News on Saturday in a statement. After 43 years of absence, Lori returned to Coronation Street in 2011, repeating his role as a Dennis Tanner. This return set a Guinness World Record for the longest difference between showing him as the same character on television. He recorded his final presence in July 2014 as a Dennis Tanner.
After obtaining a world record certificate, Lori said in 2011, “I have always been proud to be a member of the original artists of Coronation Street.” “Now I am double proud of being honored in the Guinness World Records Book.”
Lowrie’s world record was beaten by William Russell in October 2022, which appeared in Doctor Hu after a gap of 57 years.
British actor also appeared in Comedian Victoria Wood’s television shows, in which it was seen on TV and wood and walters. His stage credit includes performance in West End, The Moustrap, Claver in the Case of the Fetted Lady, and Eric in the Lady Vanish.
Lori also voiceover for fifteen to one on Channel 4, and played the role of Sri Lacine in the 2015 ITV Series Home Fire.
