After months of delay, Telugu superstar Ram Charan’s sports drama, Peddi, has finally hit the screens globally. With a special night show on 3 June and a worldwide release on 4 June, the film opened with a bang.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and starring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Boman Irani, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu, Peddi is a rural action drama that follows the life of an athlete who fights for his identity.
According to industry tracker SacnilkThe film collected Rs 9.82 crore in the initial days of advance booking without block booking. With block booking, the figure stood at Rs 16.66 crore till Wednesday afternoon. The film has grossed Rs 35 crore in advance sales worldwide.
Early trade estimates suggested that the film could earn Rs 100 crore globally on its opening day, helped by strong business in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, paid premiere shows and overseas sales.

Peddi review and releases: Telangana government approves ticket hike
Just ahead of its theatrical release on June 3, pedi There was a significant boost in Telangana. The state government has approved a temporary increase in ticket prices for Ram Charan’s sports-action drama, matching the pricing structure already allowed in neighboring Andhra Pradesh.
According to the government order, single-screen theaters in Telangana can charge an additional fee of up to Rs 100 per ticket, while multiplexes have been allowed an increase of Rs 125, including GST. The revised rates will be applicable for a limited period after the release of the film.

Including block booking, the total advance booking till Wednesday afternoon reached Rs 16.66 crore. The film has earned an estimated Rs 35 crore in advance sales worldwide, indicating strong pre-release interest in the markets.
