Actor Pawan Kalyan’s wife Anna Lezhneva marked one year of son Mark’s fire accident in Singapore as his “second birthday”, and also celebrated Akira Nandan’s 22nd birthday.

Mark Shankar Pawanovich, younger son of actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, was injured in a fire incident at his school in Singapore exactly a year ago. His wife, Anna Lezhneva marked the occasion on Instagram and also celebrated their elder son Akira Nandan’s 22nd birthday.
Anna described the day as an emotional one for the family, saying, “Today is an emotional day for our family. It’s Akira’s birthday. We are so proud of the man he is becoming. He highlighted that the investigation into the fire is continuing despite the tragic death of a 10-year-old child named Freya and the injuries to 18 others. Ana wrote, “A year later, the investigation is still ongoing. We still don’t know who is responsible for the death of little Freya, who was only 10 years old, and of the 18 other children who were hospitalized. Some children still need surgery. Their burns were too deep.”
Recalling the ordeal, Anna shared the difficulty of watching Mark struggle to breathe after his lungs were damaged. “By the grace of God, Mark survived. His lungs were damaged, but today he is fine. He is here, and that is all that matters. I still remember sitting by his hospital bed, watching him struggle to breathe. No mother should ever have to go through this.”
He expressed gratitude to the construction workers who rescued 15 children before firefighters arrived and urged people to stay safe. Her message ended, “Please stay safe. Keep a fire extinguisher or fire blanket at home – and I pray you never have to use one.”
