Pawan Kalyan on Jan Nayakan vs Censor Board: Producers should not have gone to court
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan commented on the ongoing controversy over censorship of Jan Nayakan. He also talked about his film Ozzy getting A certificate.

Actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan comments on the ongoing standoff between the makers of Vijay Jan Naygan and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). talking to thanthi tvKalyan said that it is unfair to blame the NDA government regarding the film’s delayed certification and provided information about his own experiences with the board.
Jan NayganDirected by H Vinoth and starring Vijay, was scheduled to release in theaters on 9 January. However, it was postponed indefinitely as the CBFC has not yet issued its censorship certificate.

Talking about his experience with the Censor Board, he said, “The Jan Naygan The issue was not handled properly at the Censor Board level. They are blaming NDA and this is not right.”
Telling how his film is OG On being given an A certificate by the board, he said, “My producers and my director said, ‘You are part of the NDA, and your film has been censored.’ I asked him how he expected a U/A certificate despite all the violence depicted. I told him that rules are rules and it cannot be made for those who are part of the ruling government.
Kalyan also revealed that the producer of OG Reapplied to the board in hopes of U/A certification. “The CBFC still gave an A certificate. Even if I used my contacts to influence the CBFC, they would clearly tell me that governance and film censorship cannot be linked and they are separate bodies.”
