Pawan Kalyan fans got excited after his son Akira Nandan was clicked at the theatres for the re-release of Thammudu

Pawan Kalyan’s movie Thammudu celebrated its 25th anniversary today and on this occasion his eldest son Akira Nandan was spotted at the theatres in Hyderabad to watch his father’s blockbuster movie.

Returning to the big screen after 25 years, Pawan Kalyan starrer Thammudu released in theatres today (June 15). Written and directed by PA Arun Prasad, the sports action film was originally released in 1999 and has been a cult favourite for fans of the actor.

Amidst the release, his son, actor-turned-politician Akira Nandan was spotted in theatres to watch his father’s iconic film.

Dressed in a black hoodie and denim, the young lad looked just as handsome as his father. As soon as fans saw him, they went crazy.

After the 2024 general elections, Akira Nandan gained attention when he met Hon’ble Narendra Modi in Delhi along with his father Pawan Kalyan. Also, he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada along with his sister and other family members. His father also took oath as Deputy Chief Minister.

Pawan Kalyan’s film was based on Aamir Khan’s film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar which itself was inspired by the American film Breaking Away. Thammudu was later remade in Tamil and Kannada as Badri and Yuvaraja starring Thalapathy Vijay and Shiva Rajkumar respectively.

Thammudu revolves around the journey of Subhash, a spoilt college going boy. His life is spent hanging out with his friends and flirting with girls.

On the other hand, his brother is a kickboxer who is the ideal son of the family, making their father proud of him. His life takes a turn for the worse when his opponent injures his brother, making him unable to participate in a kickboxing tournament. To take revenge, Subhash trains for the tournament in his brother’s place.

What’s next for Pawan Kalyan?

Apart from his political ventures, Pawan Kalyan will next be seen in the film OG aka They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth.

Apart from this, the Vakeel Saab actor is expected to release his delayed project Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Soul soon. Apart from this, Pawan will also be seen in the film Ustad Bhagat Singh directed by Harish Shankar.
