Pavitra Rishta actor Priya Marathe dies in 38 after battling cancer
Actor Priya Marathe, known for his work in ‘Pavitra Rashta’, died in Mumbai on August 31, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Actor Priya Marathe died on 31 August 2025 in Mumbai. She was suffering from cancer for the last one year. The 38 -year -old starred in several Hindi and Marathi TV shows.
Marathe was an Indian stand-up comedian and television actor. He was born on 23 April 1987 in Mumbai. He did his schooling and college from Mumbai. After completing her studies, she moved into the world of acting and soon started TV with Marathi serial ‘or Sukhanoya’ and then ‘Char Day Sasuche’.
Marathe also played the role of Vidya Bali in Balaji Telefilms “Kasam Se” and was later seen in the first season of ‘Comedy Circus’. The actor later played the role of Jyoti Malhotra in the popular daily soap ‘Bed Ekche Lagte Han’, which aired on Sony TV in April 2012. His other works include shows like ‘Tu Tith Me’, ‘Bhai Re Maan’, ‘Jayastut’ and ‘Bhat Ka Ver Putra – Maharana Pratap’. The actor is also known for his role as Varsha Satish in ‘Pavitra Rishti’, which aired on Zee TV.
Marathe acted in the 2008 Hindi film ‘Hum Jeena Sek Leia’. He also shown in the Marathi film ‘Tiwari Annie Itar’ directed by Govind Nihalani. The film also featured Subodh Bhave, Sonali Kulkarni, Amarut Subhash, Bhushan Pradhan, Ganesh Yadav and Evil Darwhekar in the lead roles.
Marathe married Shantinu Muge in 2012.
