Netflix removed the part of Urvashi Rautela in the OTT version of Daku Maharaj: Report
It has been reported that the scenes of actor Urvashi Rautela have been edited from the OTT version of Daku Maharaj. His absence from the recently released Netflix poster of the film also increased eyebrows.
Netflix has allegedly removed all the scenes with actor Urvashi Rautela from Daku Maharaj’s upcoming streaming release. The Telugu-Language Action-Drama starring Nandamuri Balakrishna will start streaming Netflix on 21 February. In addition, Rutela’s absence from the recently released poster has promoted a wave of online reactions.
According to sources close to Netflix, he allegedly decided to remove the scenes of Urvashi Rautela before the digital release of the film on Friday. This step has not been noticed by anyone, as the actor’s fans and followers have expressed their disappointment on social media. When Netflix released the official streaming announcement poster, the audience was in a hurry to notice that Urvashi was missing.

Given his role in the film and his active participation in its promotion, this lapse gave birth to widespread speculation and humorous online chatter, calling it a ‘Moy Moy’ moment. A separate X user wrote, “Urvashi Rautela became the first Indian actress to be removed from the film just before her streaming release (SIC).”

Meanwhile, in the original poster released by Netflix, other actors of the film, including Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal and Shraddha Srinath, were prominently depicted with Nandamuri Balakrishna. Among the backlash, Netflix twice tried to calm fans by releasing additional character slides characterized by Rautela’s image.
While Urvashi can be seen in the trailer that Netflix recently repaired on her YouTube channel, it can be seen that her name is missing in Daku Maharaj’s ‘About’ on Netflix. Rautela was one of the most vocal members of the actors in promoting the film. However, his involvement in the campaigner campaign took an unexpected turn when he made controversial comments, which were considered insensitive, about the stabbing of actor Saif Ali Khan.
