The world’s largest annual night, Met Gala, is here. May 5 (May 6 in India), prominent celebrities from all over the world will arrive in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, wearing their best clothes for the iconic funding gala. It is celebrated every year on the first Monday of May, the program marks as the inauguration of the annual fashion exhibition of the Costume Institute in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year, the theme of the exhibition is ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’, in which the dress code is ‘sewn for you’. The subject celebrates the black style, especially the black dandyism and the men’swear focuses on the history and cultural significance of the tailoring.
This year, Met Gala is additional for Indians, in which many Indian celebrities have been designed to participate in the prestigious program. Met Gala 2025 will mark the onset of Shah Rukh Khan, Diljit Dosanj, and Kiara Advani. Priyanka Chopra and Natasha Poonwal are also expected to create a striking fashion statement for regular attendees.
The incident cautiously cured by Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintor is famous for giving some of the most wide and unconventional fashion moments in pop culture. There are also some rules in this phenomenon – eg, guests are not allowed to use their mobile phones (however, celebs use it for a coward bathroom selfie).
Met Gala also has some strict food rules. In fact, many items are completely restricted from the menu. Famous celebrities will definitely not find these five on their plate in Met Gala: Chaives, onions, garlic, bruccheta, and parsley – each veto himself by Anna Wintor.
In an interview with Today, Wintor revealed that she does not approve Chaives, Garlic and Onion for the incident. “Those three things I am not particularly fond of,” Wintor said when asked about the ban on these items. Who wants a bad breath anyway in such an incident!
According to a report by the New York Post, Wintor banned parsley from serving the event because “you don’t want your teeth to get stuck in your teeth”. Additionally, appetizers such as Brucecheta are avoided, as they can easily spread on organizations.
Guests are also strictly banned from smoking.
