Actress Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha have revealed the name of their newborn baby. On Wednesday, the couple gave fans the first pictures of their baby and shared that they have named their baby boy ‘Neer’.
Parineeti wrote in the Instagram caption, “Jalsya Rapam, Premasya Swarpam – Tatra and NeerOur hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life, We named him ”- Pure, Divine, Boundless, (sic)”
Parineeti and Raghav welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Choti Diwali, which is an important moment for the couple. This news was shared through their joint social media account.
The couple’s Instagram post read, “He’s finally here!…our baby boy…and we literally can’t remember life before this! Arms are full, our hearts are full. First we had each other, now we have everything…with gratitude, Parineeti and Raghav…(sic).”
The announcement of her son’s birth drew celebratory comments from her co-workers. Actress Kriti Sanon commented, “Congratulations (heart emoji)…(sic).” Designer Manish Malhotra wrote, “Congratulations…(heart emoji)…(sic).” Comedian Bharti Singh also extended her best wishes and wrote, “Wow…congratulations…”
Other celebrities from the industry, including Ananya Panday and Huma Qureshi, accepted the news by posting heart emojis in response to the announcement.
The couple, who kept their pregnancy private for several months, only revealed their journey publicly after the birth of their child.
The couple’s first engagement took place on May 13, 2023, in New Delhi and later an intimate wedding ceremony was held in Udaipur on September 24, 2023. The wedding was attended by close family members and select friends from both the entertainment and political circles.
On the professional front, Parineeti was last seen in the 2024 Netflix film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, starring opposite Diljit Dosanjh. The film, centered on the story of Punjabi singer Chamkila and his wife Amarjot Kaur, has received positive attention on the streaming platform.
