Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s marriage has been overshadowed by unfortunate health issues. After the news that Smriti’s father Srinivas Mandhana was admitted to the hospital on the wedding day after allegedly suffering a heart attack, on Monday came the news that groom-to-be Palash was also admitted to the hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra due to acidity and viral infection.

Palash was later shifted to a hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai ndtvA Hindustan Times The report said that Palash decided to postpone the wedding because Smriti’s father was ill. The groom’s mother Amita told the outlet that Palash was devastated by the news of Smriti’s father being admitted to the hospital.

Palash’s mother Amita Muchhal said,Palash is very fond of uncle… both of them are closer than Smriti. When he was done, before Smriti, Palash decided not to change him yet…until uncle gets well. (Palash is very close to Smriti’s father… He is more attached to Smriti’s father. When he fell ill, Palash, before Smriti, decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals… until he recovered).”

According to the news outlet, Amita said that when Palash came to know about Srinivas Mandhana’s condition, he could not stop crying. “He had become ill, so we did not let him go out. I felt very bad while crying. Had to be kept in the hospital for four hours. Got an IV drip. ECG was done and other tests were done. everything is normal but there is a lot of tension (His health deteriorated because he cried a lot.
