The 2025 Oscar watched fierce live action short film category in the best live action short film category. The Indian film Anuja was nominated, but the Dutch film I Am Not a Robot took the house award.

I am not a robot, 2023 Dutch-language science fiction short film, written and directed by Victoria Warmardam. The film follows Lara, which after repeatedly thwarting captcha tests, finds itself in a strange new reality.

Anuja stars Sajda Pathan, Ananya Shambag, and Nagesh Bhonsle. It tells the story of a talented nine-year-old girl, with her sister spinach, a living opportunity that tests her bond and reflects the struggle of girls around the world.
