Oppo announces Find X9 Ultra for global markets, coming to India later this year
Oppo has officially announced that its Find X9 Ultra flagship will launch globally in 2026, with an India rollout expected. This will be the first time Oppo is expected to expand its Ultra platform beyond China.

Oppo has officially confirmed that its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, will make its global debut later this year, with India also expected to launch around the same time. This will also be the first time that the company’s Ultra variant will expand beyond China.
Oppo announced the Find X9 Ultra during a media event at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. The company has positioned it as a camera-first device, hoping to double down on advanced mobile imaging – an area where Oppo has consistently built its reputation.

According to that pitch, at the heart of the Find X9 Ultra will be the company’s most advanced imaging system to date, co-developed with Hasselblad. According to the company, this collaboration continues Oppo’s focus on professional-grade photography, combining next-generation optical engineering with color science for more natural and detailed output.
Although Oppo has not yet revealed the full spec sheet of the Ultra variant, expectations are that it will carry over and significantly enhance the capabilities seen in the Find X9 Pro.
What to Expect: Find X9 Ultra
The Find X9 Ultra is expected to offer a big step up over the standard X9 line-up, especially in imaging and battery performance. Early details and industry discussions suggest that Oppo is preparing a significantly upgraded quad-camera system, consisting of a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with a 200-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. Additionally, the device is tipped to feature a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 10x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, making it one of the most ambitious camera setups from the brand yet.
The report also speculates that the 200-megapixel periscope sensor could be a larger 1/1.28-inch unit, which should improve low-light performance and overall image detail. Along with the hardware upgrades, the Ultra model is expected to bring better computational photography powered by advanced AI algorithms to refine zoom clarity, portrait output and color accuracy.
Meanwhile, Oppo’s Zhou Yibao recently confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will have a battery of more than 7,000mAh, which is a clear jump from the Find The Find X9 Ultra is also expected to support high-speed wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
For comparison, the Find X9 Pro is already equipped with flagship-grade hardware. It features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,600 nits peak brightness. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
On the camera front, the Pro variant offers a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel main sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. There is a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The phone packs a 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 80W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless AirVOOC charging. It also has an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
So, for a clear step up in performance compared to the Find X9 Pro, the Find X9 Ultra is expected to step things up further, especially in camera hardware, zoom capabilities, overall battery capacity, and overall performance.
