If you have not seen the film, there is an interpreter here that you should definitely check.
Oppam explained: What is the story behind Mohanlal’s action thriller?
The Oppam has the story of Jayaraman (starring Mohanlal), which was born blind. Due to his challenges, the man has a high sense of smell, hearing and touch, and an expert in martial arts of Kalaripayattu.
The Blind Man works as a lift operator in an apartment complex and is a reliable ally of a retired Supreme Court Justice, Krishnamurthy. Jayaraman, loyal to the former Apex court leader, joined him in search of someone.
While Jayaraman never asks why or whom he is searching, Krishnamurthy revealed that during his tenure as a judge, he wrongly convicted a person named Vasudevan, aka Vasu. As a result, the convict’s family took his life in shock, making the guilty crazy inside the prison walls.
Over the years, Krishnamurthy is afraid that if Vasudevan has taken revenge, it would be a discovery to face him before the cases get worse. In addition, the former Chief Justice has hidden his own daughter, Nandini in a convent school, leaving Jairaman as the only line of communication with her.
Soon, we are shown that Nandini’s life in school is quiet, Jaiman is the figure of her only father. While she wants to know more about her real father, Jayaraman often persuades her to convince her to bring her father to travel next time.
As the days pass, there is an extraordinary wedding in the apartment complex, which has part of all tenants. However, as in luck, Jayaraman feels that something is closed, only to find Krishnamurthy dead in his apartment.
Inside the space, Jayaraman feels the presence of a third person, the killer himself. While he tries to catch him, it turns out that it was actually Vasudevan who avenged him. On knowing that the former is a blind man, Vasu runs away.
In the next days, the police pointed to Jairaman and conducted their investigation with suspicion. Despite the blind man trying to tell the truth about Vasu, the police do not believe in him and tries to pin Jayaraman as a criminal who killed Krishnamurthy and stole his money.
At this time, a crazy Vasu wants to close all the loops by eliminating Jayaraman.
What happens to Jayaraman, and is there any other mystery buried?
Soon, it is discovered that the money from Krishnamurthy’s house was stolen by the brother of apartment maid Devayani. Even though the truth has come to light, the police tries to close the case by pinning Jayaraman’s murder allegations.
Jayaraman attacked policemen using his martial arts skills, due to no means of being in danger of escaping and the possibility of Nandini’s possibility of life.
Finally, Vasu, who has learned about Krishnamurthy’s daughter, is trying to save her with Jayaraman. As it would be in luck, Vasu discovered his place, entangled in anger full of anger to end his life.
As stress reaches its peak, it turns out that Nandini is actually a biological child of Vasudevan. He was taken in spinach care by Krishnamurti after his mother’s death.
The truth sends shockwaves around Nandini, but Vasu is surprised and believed that he is an end to an emotional attempt to attack him emotionally. Because of there was no chance of vengeance, Jayaraman told Nandini that what he told was a lie to fool Vasu.
After the battle of seat-off-the-sites, Jayaraman finally ends Vasu’s life. In the final moments of the film, Jayaraman and Nandini decided to start their lives afresh, who became a loving father and daughter.
