Have you ever wondered how you used AI tools in 2025? Now, OpenAI has announced a recap for ChatGPT users called “Your Year with ChatGPT.” It works similarly to Spotify Wrapped, giving you a personalized summary of how you used AI models over the past year. Here is how it works.
How to access your year with ChatGPT?
Instead of appearing automatically, users must manually ask ChatGPT to provide their Year in Review. Users can trigger the feature by simple prompts like “Show me my year with ChatGPT.” This feature is available on Android, iOS and the web version of ChatGPT.
Participation in your year with ChatGPT is voluntary. Users can decide not to view their annual summary of conversations with the chatbot if they wish.
What’s your year with ChatGPT?
Like Spotify’s famous year-end summaries, “Your Year with ChatGPT” uses eye-catching graphics and playful framing to reflect each person’s usage patterns. The feature offers users personalized “rewards” based on how they interact with the chatbot, such as a “Creative Debugger” for those who use ChatGPIT to solve problems or work through concepts.
Beyond statistics and labels, this feature highlights ChatGPT’s creative capabilities. Each user receives a poem and a pixel art image based on their most common topics of interest, creating a recap that feels more expressive and customized than simply analytical. The summary also includes chat statistics such as busiest chatting days, total chats, messages sent, and “chat style” based on communication habits.
Can I use your year with ChatGPT?
Year End Review ChatGPT is currently available in select markets including India, the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
According to OpenAI, the rollout is limited and depends on both account settings and user activity throughout the year. At launch, “Your Year with ChatGPT” is available to ChatGPT Go, Plus and Pro users in India. In select other regions, this feature can be used by users on Free, Plus and Pro plans. However users will need to enable both the “Reference Saved Memories” and “Reference Chat History” options. A minimum threshold of chat activity must also be met to qualify for the feature.
Your Year with ChatGPT feature is not available for Team, Enterprise, and Education accounts.
