The smartwatch market is just as competitive as the smartphone landscape, and OnePlus aims to have an option at every price point. The OnePlus Watch Lite is a sleek-looking wearable device that combines some basic smartwatch features along with top-notch health and activity tracking without being “too smart.” let’s take a look.
The unboxing experience is pretty straightforward. The OnePlus Watch Lite comes with a two-pin magnetic charging puck connected to a USB-A connector. Although we’re not fans of proprietary charging solutions, we have to admit that OnePlus makes some better smartwatch chargers with stronger magnets so the watch doesn’t move around. Still, we would appreciate a detachable USB-C connector instead of a permanently attached USB-A.
Despite the light moniker, this watch has a premium design, featuring a stainless-steel frame and a vivid 2.5D curved 1.46″ OLED touchscreen with Always On Display (AOD) functionality. The panel is quite sharp at 317ppi, and it’s quite bright – up to 3,000 nits in Sports mode. We have the Silver Steel colorway, but OnePlus is also offering a Black variant for those looking for a more subtle look. Like the look.
The Watch Lite comes with a nice silicone watch strap with vertical grooves and red stitching elements. This is a standard 22mm strap, so it can easily be replaced with leather if you want a more formal look.

It’s quite light for its size, at just under 60 grams, so it feels like wearing a regular mechanical watch. And at 8.9mm, it’s the thinnest OnePlus smartwatch yet. Along with the touchscreen, you get a digital crown dial that clicks. The button below it is actually a touch surface for health monitoring.
Elsewhere, the Watch Lite is IP68 dust-tight and water-resistant, as well as 5ATM waterproof, so you can comfortably take it for a swim in the pool. OnePlus classifies the Watch Lite as a “fitness watch”, meaning it’s aimed at active users who want to track their workouts and key health metrics.
And it definitely has you covered with 100+ workout modes for running and cycling along with dual-band GPS. You also get tracking for key health metrics like heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress, as well as a wrist temperature sensor and arterial stiffness, which is measured via the touch sensor below the crown button.
OnePlus is quick to remind you that the Watch Lite’s health data “is not actual medical advice” so you should always keep that in mind when working with these types of wearable devices.
On the software side, the OnePlus Watch Lite boots OxygenOS Watch 7.1, which is a far more limited experience than the brand’s flagship WearOS offering. You get all the basic apps you’d expect, plus plenty of nice watch faces inside the OHealth companion app.
Talking about connectivity, the Watch Lite connects via Bluetooth 5.2 and supports Bluetooth calling across your phones. Yes, plural, this is one of the few smartwatches that supports simultaneous pairing with two phones running Android or iOS. You also get a 339mAh battery, which is supposed to last up to 7 days with regular usage or up to 10 days with light usage.
So that’s the OnePlus Watch Lite in a nutshell – a fitness-focused smartwatch with classy looks. It has a retail price of €180/£180, although it is currently available on Amazon for less than €164.
